Back in 2019 Ritz Charles partnered with Conner Prairie to breathe new life into the Eli' Lilly’s historic Chinese House. They added a new pavilion and restored the existing residence in a way where it could serve the community.

Getting married during Indiana's fall also means embracing the vibrant colors and crisp air that characterize this time of year. The changing leaves created a breathtaking backdrop for Madelein + Levi’s special day, adding an enchanting touch to their outdoor ceremony at The Bluffs.

Following their ceremony and after a cozy cocktail hour, we moved indoors to continue celebrating in style. The indoor reception area at The Bluffs offers a charming and elegant space where you can wine, dine, and dance the night away with your loved ones. This seamless transition from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor reception ensures that you can enjoy every aspect of your special day without worrying about unpredictable weather conditions.

As one of Indiana's premier living history museums, Conner Prairie provides an immersive experience into the past. Your guests could even choose to spend their time in time exploring and learning about life in different eras while being part of your joyous occasion.

FAVORITE PART ABOUT PLANNING YOUR WEDDING: I feel like I might be in the minority of folks that had more fun than stress during the wedding planning process. There were so many things that I loved! First and foremost, Every minute we spent planning was also a minute of me daydreaming what it would be like to marry my soulmate and spend the day surrounded by our favorite people in the whole world. It was also such a great creative outlet to DIY my florals, signage, and decor. Even the small details like hand beading my veil and making my earrings were a little meditation in my joy and excitement. And then to finally see it all come together, to get confirmation that every detail looked and felt exactly the way I imagined and hoped it would was just icing on the cake for a perfect day.

HOW DID YOU LAND ON CHOOSING THE VENUE LOCATION?: We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony that felt secluded and surrounded by nature. As we drove down the long private drive to The Bluffs at Conner Prairie, we felt like we were stumbling across a hidden gem. The location was so convenient but being surrounded by the trees and right on the river felt like we were miles away from the busy streets of Fishers. The facilities had the perfect combination of traditional charm and modern elegance. We knew we wouldn’t need to dress the space up, it was already stunning exactly the way it was.

CLEAREST MEMORY FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY: Our first look - the perfect weather and being surrounded by the vibrant colors of the trees only added to the magic of having a quiet moment together before diving into all the wedding excitement. The intimacy of reciting our vows and getting to experience the full range of our emotions in private felt so authentic to me and Levi as a couple. It allowed us to be fully present in that moment and helped us to continue to feel connected through the remainder of the crazy day!

Your presence was so calming and reassuring through out the whole day and you were perfect at guiding us, keeping the day moving, and corralling our crazy family with positivity and kindness. You captured our memories with art that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
