Window Garden - A Creative Photoshoot in Indianapolis, In
This session was formed in an organic way, originating from my tendency to hoard anything I think might be remotely cool to photograph (aka a stack of windows that were original to my home that I’ve been holding onto for a couple of years). I had dreamt up a way of incorporating them into a styled shoot. My initial plan was to try to catch a perfect snow day to showcase them in, but if you’re familiar with Indiana at all then you know planning on the snow is a tough gig. But hey - I think this is just another example of how sometimes things don’t work out the way you planned for a reason. I’m so thrilled to share with you the simple magic this team made. These images were taken in my front yard in an eight by five foot space. So if you’re starting out on your photography journey + feel like you just don’t have the right locations, props, etc. … think again! It’s fun to push our limits as creatives, and a lot of the times that just means working with what you have handy.
Hope you enjoy these images - I would love to hear your thoughts. Also make sure to show the team listed below some love! If you can believe it this is Katie’s debut as a model as well as mine + Juliann’s first go at florals.
