Thomas + Kesia - Woodsy Spring Engagement Session
Pushing through that last stretch of winter we found ourselves taking engagement photos. Kesia + Thomas made things feel a lot warmer with their genuine smiles and constant laughter. I have been blessed with Kesia’s friendship for a handful of years now and it was a real treat to meet the man that makes her face light up when he’s been mentioned in our past conversations. Here’s a peek at what we were able to create to celebrate the big plans they have in store! (They might have the coolest wedding date ever: 4/3/21) Also check out the beautiful engagement ring that Kesia is sporting, going a non-traditional route never looked so good!
Q&A with the Newly Engaged Couple
What makes you guys YOU?: We are so different but exactly the same. We like some different things but think the same. We almost always want to order the same things when we go out or say the same phrase about something. One of us can look at the other and know exactly what the other is thinking. Our hearts are completely connected.
How did you meet?: It was at school in the bookstore.
Describe your first date.: It was so awkward!! Haha. We met at Panda Express. I was so nervous because I really liked talking to him in text and wasn't sure if we would click the same way in person. He got upset when I paid for my own food before he could. I was almost too nervous to look at him when we talked. Later he told me that he thought I wasn't interested because of that. He walked me to my car when we were all done but did not kiss me and for some reason, I was happy he didn't.
When was your first kiss?: It was after our second or third date. We went out to dinner and walked around downtown. We told each other stories about our pasts. When he walked me to my car, he finally leaned in and kissed me. The whole car ride home I had a goofy smile on my face. When I got home I told him that my lips liked his lips and they still do.
How long have you been together?: 6 years
How long until you tie the knot?: 2 years
In this exact moment, how are you envisioning your wedding day to be?: Very laid back. I want everyone who attends to have fun and leave saying they had never been to a wedding quite like that.
How did your family react when you told them you were engaged?: They were all excited! I think they could tell something big was coming but no one knew when.
What three adjectives do you feel best represent your relationship?: Fun, passionate, and safe.
