Shelby + Cody - Sweet Maternity Session at South Haven Beach in Michigan

Being a central Indiana girl, I don’t find myself documenting life’s precious moments with bare feet in the sand too often. This trip to Michigan made a great exception to that rule. Having the honor of seeing so many stories unfold is one of the major perks to this job. Being a photographer allows me to be present in some of life’s most tender chapters. I’ve worked with Shelby a handful of times throughout my photography career – most of which was for creative endeavors along with capturing content for her + her Monet branding. (Are you shocked that she has the most bomb hair ever? Now you know her secrets.)

This weekend getaway to South Haven Beach was so special for so many reasons. This sweet couple found themselves officially tying the knot in the midst of the pandemic; like so many other couples who had different plans. Well fast forward and here we are escaping to a Victorian home for their vow renewals, skipping over to the beach for this sweet maternity photo session, and spending the most intimate time with their closest people.
