Marissa + Mike — An Indy Art Center Wedding Ceremony and Liter House After Party

If you're planning a wedding at the Indy Art Center, getting ready at Hotel Broad Ripple, or hosting your reception at The Liter House in Broad Ripple, this fall celebration is full of inspiration.

As an Indianapolis wedding photographer, I always love documenting weddings in this creative corner of the city; especially in October, when the leaves along the Monon Trail turn golden and the light feels soft + glowy. This Indy Art Center wedding was intimate, artful, and sweetly them from beginning to end.

Getting Ready at Hotel Broad Ripple

The morning began at Hotel Broad Ripple, one of the most charming boutique hotels in Indianapolis. Just steps from the Monon Trail it offers a fun energetic atmosphere! Definitely a great option for wedding mornings that aim to feel unhurried and comfortable.

A Ceremony at the Indy Art Center

From Hotel Broad Ripple, we made our way to the Indy Art Center for their wedding ceremony, one of the most lovely art-forward wedding venues in Indianapolis.

If you’re an art-loving couple, the Indy Art Center is such a fitting space. The architecture, the surrounding greenery, and the natural light all lend themselves beautifully to candid, emotion-filled photography. Art can also be found covering both indoor and outside spaces, which offers additional interest when setting the scene.

Guests stayed warm by making cups at tea at the thoughtful welcome station upon their arrival. Their ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, perfectly tucked under the fall foliage.

When couples choose the Indy Art Center for their wedding, they’re often looking for something that feels creative and authentic rather than fussy or overdone. This ceremony was exactly that.

Reception at The Liter House in Broad Ripple

The celebration continued at The Liter House in Broad Ripple, an Indianapolis wedding venue full of warmth and industrial character. It was such a joy getting to witness Marissa + Mike mingling with their guests, getting on the dance floor, and enjoying their evening. Instead of a traditional cake cutting, this couple opted for a pretzel bar at the end of the night which felt true to making the day their own.

For couples planning a Liter House wedding reception, the space offers that cozy-meets-modern atmosphere that makes celebrations feel intimate and welcoming
