I love having a reason to travel – and what better reason to travel than for a wedding!? Joy + Jonathan’s celebration brought me out to the neighboring state of Ohio. I found myself on a breathtaking property in Casstown that was home to a historical house, grand barn, and acres upon acres of land. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful historic home that they would spend the morning getting ready in, the wide open property where they’d share their vows in front of all their loved ones, + the spacious barn where all the guests would spend the night dancing away. It was one of those days where the weather was perfect and the sun was shining exceptionally well for it being in the midst of the fall season. These two chose to celebrate with a first look, small ceremony, and lots of dancing. A few favorite moments of mine were being able to indulge in family portraits before all the other guests arrived (kept things fun + relaxed; and there may have been a gifting of a fancy sword…), witnessing the groom’s father + brothers sing/play for their first dance, and the amount of people who participated in the dollar dance with the couple! Best dollar spent, I’m sure. Thanks again for bringing this Hoosier girl over your way to document your tying of the knot, see ya soon Ohio!
